To download the Newt app, simply click here. You can also search for “Newt” in both the Apple and Google Play stores.

Simply open the app and it will take you to a map showing all Newts available in your area. If you don’t find an available Newt nearby, simply zoom out the map and search the surrounding areas.

To unlock a Newt simply open the Newt app and tap on the “Scan to Ride” button at the bottom of the screen. From here, either scan the QR code using your phone’s camera or manually enter the Newt ID located beneath the QR code. If it is dark out, you can turn on the flashlight while scanning.

Just be careful as our Newts are sometimes a little adverse to flashlights. I know, right? But we're working on educating them.

Stand on the Newt, kick-off then push down the "GO" button with your right thumb to accelerate. Familiarize yourself with the speed first and keep both hands and feet on the scooter at all times. Push down or squeeze the "STOP" lever to slow down or stop.

Ride our Newts within our coverage area and make sure to follow local rules. Be careful not to go off-limits as the speed is going to be reduced and you won’t be able to end the ride.

You can drop off your Newt anywhere inside our coverage area. We encourage riders to park near public bike racks or accessible public locations that do not cause an obstruction of the sidewalk.

For the safety reasons, our Newts should not be parked where they can block driveways, doors, store entrances, or other pathways. Our Newts should never be parked in a gated location or compound, in underground parking garages, or other locations that would make it difficult for another user to access it.

This also includes the red no-parking zones where parking may be met with fines or, if repeatedly done, account suspension.

Before ending the ride, make sure your Newt has the kickstand down and is parked in an accessible area. Then, just slide the “End Ride” button in the app.

You can park your Newt momentarily without having to end the trip by tapping "Pause" in the app. Please note that you will continue to be charged per minute while your ride is paused.

To continue your ride, press the “unlock” button in the app.
